Hampi is a laid back village in Karnataka and is the capital of Vijayanagar. It was one of the largest Hindu kingdoms of India and has some excellent captivating ruins that are intermingled with its reared up landscape. During my trip planning I was educated that the ruins here date back to the 14th century and the place has more than 500 monuments.
